27th September 2012, Workshop: Storage Cluster in Active-Active Mode with Open-E DSS V7
With the current release of the storage operating system, Open-E DSS V7 it is possible to mirror both iSCSI volumes and NFS shares on two storage servers synchronously in both directions. In case of failure allows a cluster configuration an automatic failover for both iSCSI volumes and NFS shares. This all new feature of DSS V7 (active-active cluster) is the central theme of his upcoming workshops in the fall.

Further details and what is new about the new version will be announced- for example what is new by the settings, new support options and best practices by upgrading from version v6.
The new generation powerfull NASdeluxe NDL-3000R/L storage systems will be used for cluster installation. The systems are based on Supermicro boards with X9 "Sandy Bridge" technology. These support a SSD caching function and are available with houses from 8 up to 72 drive bays. With a wide range of virtualization features are the NDL-3000R/L systems perfectly suitable for the Open-E solution.
