The Zealbox Backup Appliance provides small and medium enterprises (SMEs) a high-performance, low cost and easy to install solution to save and restore virtual machines (VMs) on VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.

With a powerful RAID controller, redundant power supplies, iSCSI and Fibre Channel HBAs and SAS expansion port the Zealbox Backup Appliance provides the comfort of a conventional storage server.

In addition, the ZBA bundles server services with storage capacity and provides the ability to backup virtual machines outside of the virtualization server.

The setup of the ZBA is possible without additional installation. It ships with Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 with Hyper-V and Veeam Backup & Replication software. VMware vCenter and other applications can be installed separately and the Zealbox Backup Appliance can be used in this manner for other purposes.

The Zealbox Backup Appliance can be extended by JBODs in capacity and can be fully integrated flexibly into any network.

The Zealbox Backup Appliance is based on an open platform with high performance hardware and excellent expandability.

In the appliance we only use high quality components from manufacturers such as Intel, Supermicro and Areca. For network connectivity four Intel 1GbE LAN ports are provided. An extension with additional 8Gbit/s Fibre Channel, 1/10Gbit/s LAN and 6Gbit/s SAS ports is possible.
