With 4 SAS wide host ports, each with a 1200MBps bandwidth, the S12S-R1032 aims to succeed SCSI-based arrays in DAS applications. Capacity can be more readily expanded using the SAS wide expansion links by the addition of the S12S JBOD. Within the array, reliable SAS drives can be applied for mission-critical operations and the high capacity SATA drives for near-line backup or archival uses.
Monitoring and Management
SANWatch provides all functions necessary to discover, configure, administer, and monitor Infortrend´s RAID arrays. Its unified GUI brings you simplicity in using all the features which enable data protection and high availability. Whether single or many, via Intranet or Internet, the status of your subsystems is always at your fingertips.
The EonPath drivers coordinates with Microsoft MPIO, runs on Solaris and Linux platforms, provides fault tolerance for multiple data paths and load-balancing algorithms. The EonPath also enables access through an alternate path in the event of single cabling failure.
