NDL-5000R/W systems from NASdeluxe are based on Microsoft Windows Server. From this, our product developers designed dedicated file servers that are ready for optimised reliability, seamless integration and high cost-effectiveness. Among other things, Windows Server in particular is also recommended as an operating system for storage systems in Microsoft environments, as the close integration simplifies uniform administration. The industry-known strengths of the Microsoft operating system in virtualisation and containers are extended by Windows Storage Server 2019 with further improvements such as Storage Spaces Direct, Azure Backup and much more. All of these features can be put to excellent use in our NASdeluxe system from the Windows family. We have enclosure variants with up to 72 SAS/SATA hard drive bays in our range for this purpose. The basic model NDL-5708R/W in the big tower case with eight LFF bays can be equipped with LTO or RDX drives as required.
