Thunderbolt 5 Rackmount System
Our new 4U rackmount storage system, the Areca ARC-8050T5U-24R, is ideal for professional video and file workflows. Thanks to Thunderbolt 5, it provides up to 120 Gbps of bandwidth. The integrated hardware RAID controller, featuring a dual ARM A15 processor and 8 GB of ECC cache, supports RAID modes 0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60, Single Disk, and JBOD.
The storage system comes standard with 24 SAS/SATA bays. Using an expansion port, a total of up to 512 drives can be managed through it. AES-256 encryption at the controller level protects data without any loss of performance—on both macOS and Windows.

Connect in a hurry with 80 Gbps
This simple networking method, known as daisy chaining, is made possible by the two built-in TB5 ports. The rackmount system still offers an expansion port (SFF-8644) to expand capacity to a total of up to 512 drives. (Incidentally, the desktop RAID systems with 6 and 12 drive bays also have a built-in expansion port.)
