EonStor DS 1000 systems offer form factors from 2 to 4U with 12, 16 or 24 bays. They are also flexibly scalable via high-density JBODs with up to 60 bays. Their modular design even allows them to be fully customized when ordering. A variety of protocols such as FC, iSCSI, SAS, InfiniBand and FCoE are available for this purpose in order to create a suitable host interface configuration. In addition to the 12 Gbit/s performance on the drive side (Gen2), the DS 1000 series also comes with licenses for snapshots, volume copy/mirror and thin provisioning. The administrator can flexibly activate additional professional features such as automated storage tiering, SSD caching or remote replication as required.
The 2U entry-level model EonStor DS 1012R3C has an integrated dual controller and 12 LFF drive bays. The cache memory of up to 32 GB per controller is protected against failure with a super capacitor, as is standard in the enterprise class.
