EonStor DS 1000 systems offer form factors from 2 to 4U with 12, 16 or 24 bays. They are also flexibly scalable via high-density JBODs with up to 60 bays. Their modular design even allows them to be fully customized at the time of order. A variety of protocols such as FC, iSCSI, SAS, InfiniBand and FCoE are available to build a suitable host interface configuration. In addition to the 12 Gbit/s performance on the drive side (Gen2), the DS 1000 series also comes with licenses for snapshots, volumecopy/mirror and thin provisioning. The administrator can flexibly activate further professional features such as automated storage tiering, SSD caching or remote replication as required. The 2U entry-level model EonStor DS 1024R2CB has a dual controller and 24 SFF drive bays built in. The up to 16 GB cache memory per controller is - as usual in the enterprise class - protected against failures with a Super Capacitor.
