Micron 5210 ION Enterprise 1920GB QLC SATA SSD
The QLC (Quadruple Level Cell) technology allows four instead of three bits to be stored in a single NAND cell compared to the predecessor variant TLC (Triple Level Cell). This allows considerably more data to be accommodated in the same amount of space. Micron was the first manufacturer to mature the fledgling technology to production quality for enterprise applications.
The high-capacity models of the 5210 ION product family are as fast in reading with 540 MB/s as comparable models from the other series, but offer 33 percent more capacity. Accordingly, the targeted Starline prices of the enterprise SATA SSDs are also favorable.
The SFF model with 1.92 TB from the enterprise family 5210 ION reads at 540 MB/s, requires less than 3 watts of power. In idle mode, it even requires only 1.5 watts.
