Western Digital's Ultrastar DC HC310 24/7 HDD, with its smaller capacity (6TB), is able to effectively handle the storage requirements of traditional IT workloads from an economic perspective. So, at 7,200 RPM, it offers high performance at a lower initial cost. To that end, these enterprise models are designed for traditional storage and server applications as well as distributed and scalable computing, including block and file storage architectures. Our 6TB variant is available here with 6Gbps SATA interface in 512e format.
