Starline works with you to plan your move

Since 1982, Starline Computer has been developing and manufacturing server and storage infrastructure in Germany. As a Proxmox Gold Partner, we combine certified platform expertise with in-depth hardware knowledge—a combination that is crucial for migrations: the hypervisor and hardware come from a single source, and so do support and accountability.

We also support you in planning and implementing your Proxmox environment—from proper sizing and cluster setup to the structured migration of existing virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

In addition, we perform in-place migrations using your existing hardware and offer our services independently of new infrastructure.

Migration with Starline
Step 1
Analysis & Consulting
Starline analyzes your existing infrastructure: which systems are running, what dependencies exist, and what requirements the new Proxmox environment must meet. The result is a clear picture of the migration process—with no unpleasant surprises down the road.
Step 2
Planning & Hardware Design
Based on this analysis, Starline configures the target environment: suitable servers, storage, and networking equipment manufactured in-house, scaled to meet your workloads. Proxmox subscriptions are purchased directly through Starline.
Step 3
Carrying out the migration
Starline technicians will handle the migration of your existing virtualization environment, regardless of whether you use VMware, Hyper-V, or another platform. The systems will continue to run in parallel while the virtual machines are migrated in a controlled manner with minimal downtime; once validation is complete, the system will be switched over.
Step 4
Handover & ongoing Support
After the migration, Starline delivers a documented, fully operational Proxmox environment. Ongoing operations are supported by Starline Support and, optionally, by Proxmox subscriptions — all from a single source.

FAQ about the Starline brand
What makes Starline better than an A-brand?

With Starline you are not on the proverbial hook once you have bought something. Starline is an independent medium-sized company that produces servers and storage systems in Germany. Our suppliers - from cables to screws to SSDs - have to undergo internal benchmarking by our technicians and are only included in the programme when their performance is beyond doubt. We also rely on cross-manufacturer standards and not on isolated solutions. Moreover, all systems assembled by us are put through their paces before they leave our premises. And last but not least: We look after you whenever you wish - for example, by providing free advice before the purchase and free technical support afterwards.

Why should I purchase from Starline?

As an independent company, Starline offers servers and storage systems "Made in Germany". All devices are put through their paces before they leave our premises. In addition, we offer free advice before the purchase and free technical support afterwards - even after the warranty has expired.

What is Starline? Distributor or manufacturer?

The answer is clear: both! We sell and install both ready-made components - where we always install new drives, install any firmware updates and customise them - and hand-assembled systems that are completely tailored to your needs. For the latter, we use our own brands NASdeluxe, RAIDdeluxe and Zealbox, for example. All of them consist of high-quality industrial-grade components, right down to the screws.

What services does Starline offer?

We offer a wide range of free and bookable services. You can find a detailed overview here.
