To do this, they need a secure storage system that is available from anywhere and makes work easier for them and their customers. BRANDGUARDIAN hosts countless documents as well as image and video files that brand owners and their agencies need to access worldwide.
Previously, a storage platform based on Open-E DSS V7 was already available to customers at BRANDGUARDIAN, but it had been in operation for almost a decade. Therefore, the manufacturer of the special software one2edit™ preferred to have a completely new system set up alongside the existing one. A special assignment for the responsible IT manager Michael Lingg.
As IT Manager at BRANDGUARDIAN, he immediately sat down with his long-time account manager Bernd Widmaier from Starline and together they defined the key points of the desired system:

- 4-way mirror with 70 TB net capacity
- Storage operating system Open-E JovianDSS because of the ZFS foundation

Prompt implementation
Bernd Widmaier then sought support from Starline's project task force, the Enterprise Storage Solutions Team. After all, for them, high-availability clusters and grids are everyday business in which they have a lot of experience. Accordingly, the quotation was prepared and the hardware set up quickly. After completion, the technicians installed JovianDSS and configured the system so that it would immediately acclimatise to the future data centre biotope.
