Enclosure

Netstor's NA255A GPU retrofit enclosure uses the latest PCI Express technology (PCIe Gen3 ×16) as the host interface. Thus, it enables fast cooperation between the up to four GPU cards (with double width) installed there and the host. The chassis itself has four PCIe 3.0 ×16 slots on the backplane. They handle all PCIe variations: ×1, ×4, ×8, and ×16 GPU or other PCIe cards. They are backward compatible for Gen2 GPU or PCIe cards. This allows any workstation with the Netstor NA255A to handle applications that require high performance: working with advanced color correction tools such as Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve, data analysis for real-time business decisions, machine learning or deep learning, and computational programs such as MATLAB, Mathematica and LabView.

Netstor's NA265A 4U rackmount chassis uses the latest PCI Express technology (PCIe Gen3 ×16) as the host interface. As such, it enables high-speed interoperation between the up to four GPU cards installed there and the host. The chassis itself has four PCIe 3.0 ×16 slots on the backplane. They handle all PCIe variations: ×1, ×4, ×8 and ×16 GPU or other PCIe cards. At the same time, they are backward compatible for Gen2 GPU or PCIe cards. This allows docked servers in the data center to handle applications that require high performance: working with advanced color correction tools such as Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve, data analytics for real-time business decisions, machine learning or deep learning, and computational programs such as MATLAB, Mathematica and LabView.

The Netstor NA265A allows up to four GPUs to be used in a separate 4U enclosure, multiplying the computing power of the attached workstation or server. offload. The expansion enclosure accommodates four double-width, full-length PCIe x16 (x8 electrical) cards, as well as any combination of PCIe 3.0 ×1, ×4, ×8, and ×16 GPU/PCIe cards for any application. Even small 1 to 2U HPC and telecom servers or workstations can take advantage of the extraordinary speed of GPUs via a 128Gbps connection. An included PCIe 3.0 x8 host card provides high-speed transmission to the host. The professional and cost-effective PCIe Netstor expansion enclosure NA265A features easy plug-and-play installation. It is automatically detected by the BIOS of the host and can be used immediately. Moreover, the system is compatible with a wide range of cards: Nvidia GeForce 10/900 series, Quadro P6000/M6000 series or AMD Radeon RX, R9 series, FirePro W9100/9000 series.

Netstor has designed the NA322A-G3 to provide a large amount of storage at short notice. Using a PCIe connection (Gen3 x8) to the host, up to 12 high-capacity SAS/SATA drives can be addressed via an optionally available RAID controller. Meanwhile, no driver is required for operation: The 12-bay storage works with all computers/servers running Windows/Linux and MacOS. The well thought-out ventilation architecture allows the air to circulate with a low noise level. Two hot-swappable variable speed fans are responsible for this.

The 3U rackmount offers large capacities in 16 slots and provides three additional PCIe slots (two of them PCIe x16). An optional RAID controller from Areca, Broadcom, Microsemi or Highpoint can be used to protect the drives. The Netstor storage offers additional security with redundant power supplies, an integrated temperature and fan monitoring system as well as comprehensive signaling.
