Girls-Day 2025 @ Starline

The proportion of women in IT is currently 19%. We are still 100% sure that it needs to be higher.

As every year in April, Girls' Day took place again this year - a day of action that has been around since 2001. It aims to give girls the opportunity to get a taste of careers in technology, IT, skilled trades and the natural sciences. After all, these are professions in which there are still very few women working.

Girlsday 2025

On April 3, 2025, five young women came to Carl-Zeiss-Straße 27-29 for Girls Day. Sales professional Phong Huong and HR manager Julika Trunsch took the small group under their wing. Naturally, they were given a tour of the company, received a product presentation and carried out screwdriving work in production.

Conclusion

The budding computer scientists were actually surprised at how exciting the practical side of computer science can be. After the group photo, which of course was a must, we asked the talented young computer scientists for an internship at Starline. After all, we always need good people!
