Each KS node is equipped with up to 64 CPU cores, which enables a total performance of 1,280 cores in a cluster of 20 nodes.

This computing power is complemented by support for up to 4 NVIDIA GPUs per node, making the platform ideal for compute-intensive applications such as AI modeling and deep learning.

The KS series also offers impressive storage performance with up to 1 million IOPS, 30 GB/s read and 25 GB/s write throughput, supported by U.2 NVMe SSDs. This combination of compute and storage performance makes the KS series an optimal solution for data-intensive workloads.

Flexible scalability for growing requirements

The KS series enables step-by-step scaling of computing resources, starting with a single node or a recommended three-node cluster. As requirements grow, additional nodes can be seamlessly added without interrupting ongoing operations.

In addition, the platform offers various storage expansion options, including connectivity to EonStor GS Unified Storage, EonStor CS Scale-out NAS or EonStor GSx Parallel File Storage, to meet different storage requirements.

Automatic resource management for optimum efficiency

An outstanding feature of the KS series is the ability to dynamically scale cloud-native applications based on the current utilization of the nodes. The system continuously monitors metrics such as CPU, GPU, memory, storage and network utilization and adjusts resource allocation accordingly.

Of particular note is the solution to a common problem in open source Kubernetes environments: scaling stateful applications. The KS-Series enables seamless scaling of these applications by storing data in external storage, ensuring consistent access and data integrity.

The KS series supports multi-node data replication (Replica x2 / x3), creating redundant data across multiple nodes. This ensures that no data is lost in the event of a node or hard disk failure, increasing availability and ensuring the continuity of mission-critical applications.

This model supports up to 4 NVIDIA GPUs and 8 NVMe SSDs per device, with scalability up to 80 GPUs per cluster. It is ideal for applications such as AI training, generative AI and 3D rendering.

KS 5016U - Model for all positions

This model offers support for up to 2 NVIDIA GPUs and 16 NVMe SSDs per device, with scalability up to 40 GPUs and 320 NVMe SSDs per cluster.

It is suitable for a wide range of applications that require a balanced combination of compute and storage resources.

KS 5024U - Memory-optimized model

This model is designed for particularly memory-intensive workloads. It supports up to 24 NVMe SSDs per device - ideal for data-driven applications such as AI inference, video analysis, scientific simulations or extensive container workloads.

The solution can be scaled up to 480 NVMe SSDs in a cluster. Optionally, up to 2 GPUs per node can be integrated to enable a balanced combination of storage performance and computing capacity.
