How to install Proxmox VE on your server

Preparatory steps for the installation of Proxmox VE
- Set the boot mode in the BIOS to UEFI.
- Create a bootable USB-stick with the current version of Proxmox VE.

Boot into the Proxmox setup: You can select the graphical option for this. If this option is not displayed correctly for you, you must switch to the terminal variant.
After you have accepted the End User License Agreement (EULA), you must select the boot drive.
Please note that you can make further configuration options using the Options button on the right-hand side of the drive selection. A mirror boot drive is also available for this purpose.
You must then configure the network and assign a root password. In order to connect the desired network port for the Proxmox GUI to the network, it is advisable to do this at this stage.
After completing the final check of the entire configuration, the installation begins. The system then restarts. To prevent the installation routine from being called up again, you should remove the installation medium beforehand.
You will now see the following information on the screen - depending on the network configuration.
Navigate to the network address specified in the last screenshot. To do this, use a current browser on a client that is located in the same network as the Proxmox server. Please enter the user name root and the assigned password in the login screen that opens.
The WebGUI start page of Proxmox now appears.
