Power Distribution Unit (PDU) - Starline Computer: Storage und Server Lösungen von erfahrenen Experten

With a PDU cleanly wired and safely supplied

Power Distribution Unit PDU in the rackmount area

Energy Management with PDU

A PDU guarantees a monitored and secured power supply to your valuable IT systems in the data centre, whether in the office or in the data centre.

In IT environments, clearly arranged power distribution units are mandatory. After all, servers run for several years and during this time it must be ensured that even in turbulent data centers a power plug is not even accidentally pulled at the rack. The devices presented here not only ensure power distribution, they also support remote control. This means that individual outputs or sockets can be switched on and off via the network from any location. With Daisy Chaining, this is even possible via several interconnected PDUs and one IP address.

With PDU highest flexibility in your data center

Our PDUs are suitable for every form factor and can be installed horizontally in one height unit or vertically behind the server rack, depending on the available space. Of course, a correspondingly thick supply line is also a prerequisite here.

Using standard 1.5 mm² cables, around 3500 watts of power can be safely distributed. Every additional reserve in the diameter ensures less heat development in the server room.

Simple and professional monitoring

By the way, a metered PDU shows the power output on its built-in LC display. They are even designed so that they can be rotated to read them in any installation position. The background lighting of the LCDs can be adjusted by the administrator in terms of colour, so that servers can be grouped in the same network section, for example.

Their Ethernet modules also allow remote monitoring and real-time configuration. By logging events via web browser or network connection, current measurements can be checked in their history and saved as a data record. Via data management, automatic event notifications by e-mail, SMS or SNMP trap are also possible. Although the PDUs operate up to a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius, for safety reasons the installer can also dock the optional environmental sensor, which enables real-time monitoring of temperature and humidity.

Your advantages with Starline:

  • Permanent data logging of the connected systems
  • Distribution can be used vertically and horizontally
  • Robustness at every stage of expansion
  • Can be implemented in any infrastructure

CyberPower PDU41004 powers multiple connected devices from a UPS unit, generator or utility grid. The unit provides remote control of individual outlets over the network, allowing administrators to turn connected devices on and off from any location. The daisy chain feature also allows multiple interconnected PDUs to be monitored and controlled from one IP address. Through the Ethernet module, the PDU communicates with the PowerPanel management software internally and over the Internet in real time for remote monitoring and configuration. Users can check power status history at any time via event logging and have notifications sent via email, SMS or SNMP trap to.

FAQ Support
Is there a support hotline?

Starline offers excellent technical support. We have adept technicians who can be reached via mail, phone and even TeamViewer. Our support hours: Weekdays at +49(0)7021-487 200 or email support@starline.de from 8:30am to 5:00pm (Friday until 4:30pm).

In addition, we offer special service contracts that guarantee that a technician will come to you within four hours at any time of the day or night.

How do I quickly get an exchange for a defective component?

The fastest option is Bring in Service (free of charge within the three-year warranty). You then bring the defective server or RAID system to us in Kirchheim and the fault is rectified here after a performance, function and health check. Incidentally, it is also possible to extend the warranty period to five years.

Where can I get the serial number of the system?

We will be happy to search for the relevant information for you. For complete systems, please send us the serial number of one of the installed drives (HDDs/SSDs) to info@starline.de and we will find out the number.

What is the default password for my system?

Please call +49 (0)7021-487 200 or e-mail support@starline.de from 8:30am to 5:00pm (Friday until 4:30 p.m.) on weekdays for the current system password.

I have an older server. Do you still have spare parts and extensions?

We are proud of our large stock and like to shine with it. So if you have an older system that you need a spare part for, we are very likely to be able to supply it. We keep hardware in stock long after the warranty period has expired. This is because we also take care to provide support for as long as possible when selecting our products.
