From Cache to All Flash Array: Fast SSDs for every purpose
Enterprise SSDs for continuous operation in servers and NAS
Enterprise SSDs for your data center
We have almost all types of fast flash drives in our program: You can select our Enterprise SSDs exactly according to your application.
The market for solid state drives has grown rapidly in recent years. For example, there are various form factors such as the established SFF format or the slim M.2 modules. Furthermore, various interfaces and protocols are used such as SATA, SAS or NVMe.
In the professional sector, however, there are also important key figures that have a particular impact on the price of SSDs. In addition to the architecture of the memory cells themselves, a high number of input and output operations (IOPS) and many Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD) are important. For example, the Total Bytes Written (TBW) that the respective flash drive was charged with during operation have an influence on the warranty period.
Enterprise SSDs for every application
Starline therefore always selects the most suitable model for the purpose from the wide range of models available. An All Flash Array with many drives, for example, requires SSDs with excellent read and write performance and the appropriate durability (DWPD value) for the application. A pair of SSD boots mirrored via RAID1, on the other hand, requires less write performance and can be equipped more economically with QLC-NANDs.
We have SSDs from Intel, Micron, Samsung, Seagate, Toshiba/Kioxia and Western Digital/HGST in our portfolio in order to be able to select the exact drive for the respective purpose.
- High data rate
- Many input and output operations
- Energy-saving operation
- Versatile application possibilities
The KIOXIA NVMe SSDs from the CD8 series are optimised for a wide range of scale-out and cloud applications, including big data/IoT, online transaction processing and virtualisation.
They are equipped with KIOXIA 112-layer BiCS FLASH 3D TLC flash memory. The small SFF drives offer an endurance of 1 DWPD (Drive Writes Per Day) and storage capacities of up to 15.36 TB, making them well suited for hyperscale data centre applications.
Equipped with a PCIe® 4.0 (16 GT/s x4) interface, the CD8-R series SSDs deliver consistent performance of up to 1,250K IOPS (Random Read) and 200K IOPS (Random Write).
