With its Ceph platform, the Mars 400 storage appliance offers a distributed open source SDS system. It thus ensures access to object, block and file storage. In addition, the storage system protects the data inventory by intelligently and sparingly distributing and replicating the individual fragments. If storage space is needed, it is sufficient to screw additional servers into the rack. The Auto Load Balance function ensures that the data is distributed among the mounted drives. With a little over 100 watts of power Mars 400 work extremely economical.
Linux specialist SUSE has designed its own software version for the Ceph storage appliance. The "Mars 400 SUSE Enterprise Storage 6" also gives customers additional support options.
