The administrable Astek switch has 12x 12 Gbit/s miniSAS x4 ports. The A54812-SW model is particularly suitable for cost-effective networking of multiple servers with one or more independent RAID systems, tape libraries or other data storage systems. The switch is particularly easy to administer via the integrated LAN port and the SAS Domain Manager Graphical User Interface (SDM-GUI) based on Java. With this, the user also creates the separate zones - for example, to bind selected storage resources specifically to individual hosts.
Thanks to its compact design, the Astek switch occupies only one height unit in the rack.
