SSDs from the Samsung PM1653 family achieve very high transfer rates of up to 4,200 MB/s in read and 3,700 MB/s in write thanks to the advanced 24 Gbps SAS port. As anchored in the SAS standard, they are also downward compatible with the older 12 Gbps and 6 Gbps versions.
With 1 DWPD and a high I/O performance (up to 800k IOPS), the server SSDs are suitable for all kinds of tasks from caching to all-flash systems. In addition, the PM1653's SAS dual port provides continuous service checks to ensure that if one port fails, the other can maintain stable operation. This reliability improves total cost of ownership (TCO) while providing much-needed resilience for mission-critical enterprise applications.
