Exos 10E2400 Enterprise hard drives from Seagate are considered particularly fast representatives of their guild. In their compact SFF design and the spindle rotating at 10,000 rpm, they are designed for the traditional data center, where density, power consumption and data integrity are top priorities. These Exos models provide comparatively fast access, especially for write-intensive applications. Enhanced caching, via the 256MB cache, accelerates I/O reads and writes and prevents applications from slowing down under peak loads. The latest 12 Gbps SAS interface also provides better scalability in the 1,200 GB variant from this Exos series.
