Standard server chassis were designed for data-center halls: they maximize compute power, while noise control ranks low. Yet many offices can’t avoid locating central compute and storage capacity—whether for space constraints or cable and interface limits—right next to employees.
For exactly those cases, we’ve developed a low-noise server line that keeps fan and drive sounds to a minimum, sparing your team’s nerves while still delivering top-tier performance with effective cooling.
Zealbox Z70 (subfamily: Silent Server) form an open hardware platform that can be installed in different housing variants to suit the customer's performance and interface requirements. However, the Z70 servers have one thing in common: a single or dual socket board based on Intel. In addition to significantly lower power consumption, this processor generation also offers considerable performance advantages.
In combination with the up to four terabytes of RAM in the 16 memory banks of the Supermicro board, there are no longer any performance bottlenecks. They are therefore ideally suited for virtualization, databases and hosting or as high-availability storage. Our Z70 servers offer space for 8 to 36 SFF and/or LFF drives in the various housing variants from two to four height units. The basic Zealbox Z70-08R2 model has a 2U rackmount housing with eight LFF drive bays. Additional interfaces, controllers or other options can be added as required. We also do our best to realize special requests. For example, this model is a particularly quiet version from the Z70 series.

Our product managers optimized every key factor—airflow, fan choice, drive type and RPM, add-on cards, CPU configuration—to ensure smooth, near-silent operation while maintaining adequate cooling.
The result: acoustic output below 40 dB, so a server can run in an open office or medical practice without disturbing daily work.

Absolutely. Many of our systems have a modular design so that you can easily add more drives via JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks) expansions. This allows you to flexibly adapt the capacity to growing data volumes at any time without having to purchase a completely new solution.
