How to export your log for Proxmox-based systems

Exporting logs:

1. Open the WebGUI of your Proxmox server and then the shell under Proxmox. (root)
2. The following command saves the log entries in a tar.gz archive in the current directory.

wget -qO - https://sicher.ist/pvelogs | bash

 

3.    To transfer the file over to a windows host computer in the same network please open a powershell-window and enter the following command. With this command the log file gets saved to the Desktop of the host pc.

scp root@[Your IP address of the Proxmox server]:[Path of the archive] .\Desktop\

 

Alternatively, you can also download the archive using WinSCP, for example.
