In good form at Swarm
New DCIE for DataCore Swarm: Patrick Weber
As a software-defined object storage solution - into the petabyte range - Swarm works on any standard hardware or disk size and is also tailor-made for high-availability requirements.
Swarm supports hot-plug drives as well as the addition and removal of disks or even entire servers from the network. And despite the extensive protection mechanisms, it is exceedingly performant: videos, for example, can be streamed by the user directly from the object storage.
This complexity combined with high flexibility needs to be understood and applied correctly. Our technician, Patrick Weber, has succeeded in this. He has just completed the five-day training course to become a
DATACORE CERTIFIED IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER FOR SWARM (DCIE)
He now knows, for example, about the Swarm storage cluster, how the system can be used as a content and S3 gateway, and how to scale the environment.
Congratulations!
