Thunderbolt adapters in the enterprise
a lightning-fast universal interface
PCIe on the move with Thunderbolt
Leverage Thunderbolt to take the high-speed PCIe bus outside the chassis—perfect for demanding peripheral and storage workloads.
As a protocol that carries both display signals and storage traffic, Thunderbolt effectively merges DisplayPort and PCIe on a single link. Much like USB, it lets you hot-plug peripherals directly into a workstation or server whenever needed.
In its third generation—engineered by Intel and Apple—Thunderbolt delivers an impressive 40 Gbit/s. An external RAID system connected over Thunderbolt 3 therefore performs nearly as quickly as drives installed inside the host machine.

The small ATTO bridges from the ThunderLink series extend the network as needed. Depending on the existing infrastructure, the practical Thunderbolt adapters are suitable for 10 or 40 Gbit/s Ethernet, 12 Gbit/s x4 SAS and also 16 or 32 Gbit/s Fibre Channel topologies. ATTO's ThunderLink FC 2162 provides access from 20 Gbps Thunderbolt2 (2 ports) notebooks and workstations to 2x 16 Gbps Fibre Channel networks and storage. With dual-channel configurations, the 16 Gbps Fibre Channel Bridge is an ideal solution for users looking to achieve the highest I/O and data throughput for video and IT applications. Driver support for macOS and Windows allows flexible use in environments with different application areas.

In dual-channel configurations, the 16 Gbps Fibre Channel Bridge provides an ideal solution for failover and load balancing. ATTO's exclusive MultiPath Director alone provides greater overall efficiency in the Fibre Channel SAN. With the power of Thunderbolt3 and ATTO's experience in the Fibre Channel sector, users can achieve the highest I/O and data throughput for advanced video and IT applications.

Products for every need
Because of its superior speed, ease of use and high penetration in the Mac world, Starline has added many attractive Thunderbolt devices to its product range. With our bridges, for example, connections to other topologies such as Fibre Channel or iSCSI can be established.
Our external RAID systems also deliver their data to the host at lightning speed via Thunderbolt 3. You have the choice between small mirrored NVMe solutions for on the road up to large storages with up to 24 drives for whole departments or teams.
Starline benefits
We know which components work together because we test the connectivity extensively in advance.
We can offer you coherent alternatives in every storage category and are able to fulfill almost all product wishes.
Experienced and trained technicians do performance and functional checks and offer quick help in case of failure.
On-site service or on-site installation can be booked - on request also within four hours (24 x 7 x 4).
Starline offers excellent technical support. We have adept technicians who can be reached via mail, phone and even remote support. Our support hours: Weekdays at +49(0)7021-487 200 or email support@starline.de from 8:30am to 5:00pm (Friday until 4:30pm).
In addition, we offer special service contracts that guarantee that a technician will come to you within four hours at any time of the day or night.
The fastest option is Bring in Service (free of charge within the three-year warranty). You then bring the defective server or RAID system to us in Kirchheim and the fault is rectified here after a performance, function and health check. Incidentally, it is also possible to extend the warranty period to five years.
We will be happy to search for the relevant information for you. For complete systems, please send us the serial number of one of the installed drives (HDDs/SSDs) to info@starline.de and we will find out the number.
Please call +49 (0)7021-487 200 or e-mail support@starline.de from 8:30am to 5:00pm (Friday until 4:30 p.m.) on weekdays for the current system password.
We are proud of our large stock and like to shine with it. So if you have an older system that you need a spare part for, we are very likely to be able to supply it.
