Removable cartridges—particularly high-capacity LTO tapes—allow large data sets to be backed up quickly and stored offline, giving administrators a pristine copy in reserve. A single LTO drive is the most straightforward way to tap into this proven tape technology.
An LTO single tape drive delivers true peace of mind
LTO technology lets you build not only a secure long-term archive but also fast-restorable backups. Thanks to the built-in LTFS file system, your backup software can locate the required data blocks in seconds and restore them at up to 300 MB/s—or up to 750 MB/s when the content is highly compressible, such as text. WORM (Write Once, Read Many) cartridges add an extra layer of safety, because data written once can never be altered.
Our drives feature the widely adopted 6 Gbit/s SAS host interface, ensuring easy integration with multiple server generations. If preferred, we can supply a complete turnkey solution that is supported by many operating systems.

The fastest option is Bring in Service (free of charge within the three-year warranty). You then bring the defective server or RAID system to us in Kirchheim and the fault is rectified here after a performance, function and health check. Incidentally, it is also possible to extend the warranty period to five years.
