The MG09 series offers energy-assisted magnetic recording, helium sealing and 9-disk design. With their outstanding Flux Control - Microwave Assisted Magnetic Recording (FC-MAMR) technology, engineers have been able to further increase data density - compared to conventional magnetic recording. The trick: microwaves assist the write head in aligning the magnetic particles.
The disks are designed for mixed random and sequential read/write workloads and are suitable for both cloud-scale and traditional data center applications. So with a workload of 550 TB per year, the SATA models in LFF format are ready for all industry requirements.
