The 2U rackmount provides large capacities via SAS. 8 SAS/SATA drives offer a storage increase for docked servers and workstations in the enterprise environment. The connection between host and JBOD is quick and easy via the external Mini-SAS connection (SFF8088). All that is needed is a RAID controller, which can come from Areca, Broadcom, Microsemi or Highpoint. The Netstor storage offers additional security with an integrated temperature and fan monitoring system. It immediately reports high temperatures or the failure of one of the fans.
