The 1U rackmount provides additional capacity via its 4 SAS/SATA drives. Thus, it enables space-saving storage expansion for docked servers and workstations. The connection between host and JBOD is quick and easy via the external Mini-SAS connection (SFF8088). All that is needed is a RAID controller, which can come from Areca, Broadcom, Microsemi or Highpoint. The Netstor storage offers additional security with an integrated temperature and fan monitoring system. It immediately reports high temperatures or the failure of one of the fans.
