The 4U rackmount JBOD provides large capacities via SAS and offers the option for over 200 additional drives via expander. 24 SAS/SATA drives can be integrated with the JBOD itself. The connection between host and JBOD is quick and easy via the external Mini-SAS connection (SFF8088). All that is needed is a RAID controller, which can come from Areca, Broadcom or Microsemi. The Netstor storage offers additional security with an integrated temperature and fan monitoring system. It immediately reports high temperatures or the failure of one of the fans.
