NETGEAR has specifically designed the M4500-48XF8C and M4500-32C to address this need, representing a new class of switch: As an AV over IP-capable 100G/10G Ethernet switch, the M4500-48XF8C combines the configurability of an AV matrix switch with the performance and scalability possible over Ethernet (SDVoE). With its 48 ports in the 10G and 25G range as well as its eight 100G ports, it can serve hundreds of AV over IP endpoints without bottleneck. The Layer 3 feature set includes static and dynamic routing with VRRP, OSPF, BGP, VRF-Lite and PIM. The cost-effective model also offers IGMP Plus. This allows for simplification of system architectures across the AV over IP network.Administrators who choose the Spine-Leaf architecture, and thus the M4500-48XF8C switch, will appreciate that it is fully pre-configured and works out of the box.
