Areca has developed a perfect out-of-the-box solution for the MacBook Pro and Thunderbolt users respectively with their nifty bridges. With two 12 Gbps SAS (SFF-8644) and two Thunderbolt3 ports (40 Gbps), the ARC-4108T3 is an ideal solution for connecting a Thunderbolt3 host to a SAS RAID subsystem or tape library.Thus, this system allows large amounts of data in the form of video and audio streams - gladly in HD or 4K - to be read and written from a workstation, while further incoming and outgoing data transfers are processed via the daisy chained Thunderbolt3 connection.
