The NS372TB3 is a space-saving, versatile and high-performance Thunderbolt3 LTO enclosure. The 1U enclosure of the NS372TB3 can accommodate SAS drives from the leading LTO manufacturers. The LTO tape drives are connected via SFF-8482 interface at 6 Gbit/s. This enables users of Mac servers - which usually do not have a host bus adapter installed for connection to the LTO system - to back up their data to tape. Of course, Mac and Windows notebooks can also quickly backup to LTO tape via the Thunderbolt interface.The highlight: The expansion enclosure also works as a SAS bridge thanks to the integrated ATTO HBA. The administrator can also dock JBODs or RAID systems to the external miniSAS port (SFF-8088). Any computer connected via Thunderbolt 3 is thus able to use the NS372TB3 to back up data to tape while simultaneously streaming video from the connected RAID system.
