A JBOD allows you to add many more drives to your system. And we have a compatible model for you in petto.
JBODs (Just a Bunch of Disks) consist – as the name suggests – of many drives. The hard disks are screwed into separate frames so that they can be inserted and locked into the drawer slots of the JBOD. The individual drives can be controlled by the managing controller via a host interface.
Depending on the requirements for cooling, power supply, expander interface and drive assembly, we have a variety of model variants for every need in our program. JBOD model variants are available for the house brands RAIDdeluxe (12 – 80 bays) and NASdeluxe (12 – 72 bays) as well as Western Digital (60 & 102 bays), Infortrend (12 – 60 bays) and Netstor (Desktop, 16 bays).

With 12 bays, the SAS-to-SAS-JBOD ARC-4038 forms a compact external storage enclosure for 12 Gbit/s SAS disks or 6 Gbit/s SATA (Serial ATA) drives. The box is suitable for both LFF and SFF drives. Each ARC-4038 Compact JBOD supports four 12 Gbps SFF-8644 and one 6 Gbps SFF-8088 SAS host and expansion ports. Configuration and environmental information can be established via either an in-band (SES-3.0 over SMP) or out-of-band serial port.
With 8 bays, the SAS-to-SAS-JBOD ARC-4038-8 forms a compact external storage enclosure for 12 Gbps SAS disks or 6 Gbps SATA (Serial ATA) drives. The box is suitable for both LFF and SFF drives. Each ARC-4038 Compact JBOD supports four 12 Gbps SFF-8644 and one 6 Gbps SFF-8088 SAS host and expansion ports. Configuration and environmental information can be established via either an in-band (SES-3.0 over SMP) or out-of-band serial port.
The ARC-4038ML serves as a direct attached storage enclosure with 8 LFF bays for PC and Mac. This JBOD in the form of a small tower uses two high-speed SFF-8644 connections to the HBA or RAID controller installed in the host. The high transfer rates make the ARC-4038ML excellent for audio/video applications, especially video editing on a Mac.
The reliable EonStor series from Infortrend's JB3000 family is suitable for demanding enterprise requirements. The JBODs provide additional storage capacity in an instant via their high-performance 12 Gbit/s SAS interfaces to the host. They are easy to deploy and maintain with their modular component design. The 2U JB3024RB model can accommodate 24 SAS or SATA (SFF) disks and is equipped with a dual controller.

Starline mainly sells to resellers. That is, system houses that install these systems at a customer's premises or resell them.
Of course, we can also offer you each component separately. Among the ready-made systems, the offer starts with a 4-bay RAID system and a small server also equipped with four drives.
Counter question: How many do you need? We have NAS systems in all sizes and installation variants: Starting with a low-cost open source version up to a highly available twin system.
Starline supplies everything your heart desires in the server and storage sector. If you wish, we can also draw up a concept for integrating the new system into your existing network and supervise the installation. Detailed documentation after completion of the work is also part of our services.
